In coordination with The Maine Print Project, SPACE Gallery will present Arts Formally Known as Prints, a group show of artists interested in pushing the boundaries of printmaking.

Arts Formally Known as Prints will bring artists and viewers beyond the limits of framing, matting, and editions to break through past entrenched ideas of traditional prints. The show will feature a broad range of provocative and accessible works utilizing alternative modes of delivery and interactivity. SPACE will encourage installation-based work, work that migrates beyond the walls of the gallery, and works in progress that will evolve throughout the duration of the show. Possible artists include: Adriane Herman, Brian Reeves, Phyllis McGibbon, Anna Hepler, and Mandy Mastrovita.

There will be an artist talk on Thursday, September 21. Check the SPACE website for details: www.space538.org.
